The Houston Westchase Rotary Club College Scholarship Trust Fund will award one scholarship this spring. The value of the scholarship is $4000. The recipient will receive $500 per college semester (fall and spring) for four years.
This scholarship is open to high school senior students. A high school may submit up to two scholarship applications.
The deadline for student applications is May 7, 2010.
Applicant interviews times will be on Monday, May 10, 2010, 6 pm.
Considerations by the selecting committee:
- Recipient to be a “well rounded person”
- High school academic record
- Financial need and the availability of other scholarships
- Attending an in state college / university
To maintain this scholarship the recipient must:
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 system)
- Be of good moral character
- Attend two HWRC breakfast meetings each college year planned for scholarship recipients prior to the fall and the spring semesters.
