Houston Westchase Rotary Club College Scholarship Trust Fund

The Houston Westchase Rotary Club College Scholarship Trust Fund will award two scholarships this spring.  The value of each scholarship is $4000.  Each recipient will receive $500 per college semester for four years.

This scholarship is open to students of AISD high schools:

• Elisk
• Hastings
• Kerr
• Taylor

Each of the above schools may submit three scholarship applications. 

The deadline for student applications is Friday, April 18, 2008.

Applicant interviews are scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2008 at a location TBA. 

Considerations by the selecting committee:

• Recipient to be a “well rounded person”
• High school academic record
• Financial need and the availability of other scholarships
• Attending an in state college / university

To maintain this scholarship the recipient must:

• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 system)
• Be of good moral character
• Attend the HWRC breakfast meetings planned for scholarship recipients prior to the fall and the spring semesters each year
